These hydrangea flower bud stud earrings are made from sterling silver and are hand-fabricated using silver imprinted with dried hydrangea petals. Every petal is slightly different so every pair of earrings is unique and will differ in small details from the ones you see here in these photographs.

The earrings have a sterling silver butterfly closure to the back. Each bud measures approximately 1cm in diameter.

These earrings are part of the Secret Garden collection.

I collect the hydrangea petals after the flowers have dried out. I use these petals to imprint into the surface of heat-treated silver. Hydrangea petals look delicate but the fibres that make up the petals are incredibly robust. I am always amazed at all the detail that is transferred into the surface of the silver.
