FREQUENCY OF SHIPPING

Upon receipt of your order and once the payment has been cleared we aim to dispatch within 3-5 working days. At busy times of the year (Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Christmas) this turnaround may increase but we will inform you by email within 24 hours of your order being placed to inform you of our studio schedule and when your piece will be ready to post.

On custom orders, we will email you to let you know how long it will take for us to create your order and will then contact you when it has been shipped.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TILL MY PACKAGE ARRIVES?

We are based in England, for domestic orders, after dispatch, your order should arrive within 1-2 days however please be aware that delivery dates are ESTIMATED and may be subject to local postal delays.

For customers in Europe, your order should arrive with you between 3 to 5 working days but again, this is an estimate and is subject to local postal delays over which I have no control.

For customers outside Europe, your order will take from 5 to 21 working days (in rare cases, up to a month) to arrive with you in the USA, Canada, South America and Australia.

SHIPPING ADDRESS

We will ship to the address that you choose during checkout (not your billing or PayPal address). Please check that all details are correct.

PACKAGING

We package each purchase in a black or grey gift box. This is then carefully protected and wrapped for shipping.

CUSTOMS / IMPORT TAXES

Orders that are shipped to countries outside of the UK may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country ("Import Fees"). If you are not based in the UK you will effectively be importing my jewellery when you buy from my shop. As such, an international shipment may be subject to Import Fees, which are charged once a shipment reaches your country.

On 1 July 2021, all orders dispatched from carijanehakes.com to EU countries will be classed as imports and will be subject to VAT. All orders dispatched from carijanehakes.com are DDU (Delivery Duties Unpaid). When EU customers order from carijanehakes.com there is no VAT on the order. When the order arrives at the destination country’s border the customer is charged the VAT. The amount will depend on the EU country of residence (usually between 19-21%). The postal service may also charge a small handling fee on top of this.

Additional charges for customs clearance will be the responsibility of you the customer. We have absolutely no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country. Please check with your local customs agency for tariffs and rates and for further information. Also, you should be aware that when customs clearance procedures occur, it can cause delays beyond the original delivery estimates.

If you refuse to accept delivery of your order the postal service may return the order to us and we will need to pay additional charges in connection with the cost of returning the order including customs and import duties that were payable by you, the customer. We will recover these costs from your order before refunding you. Please also note that any customs and import duty fees charged for returning an order for exchange will also be deducted from any refund amount owed to you.

PAYMENT

Payment can be made by Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Delta, and Maestro debit cards and any other methods which may be clearly advertised on the Website from time to time. Payment will be debited and cleared from your account upon receipt of your order by us. You confirm that the credit/debit card that is being used is yours or that you have been specifically authorized by the owner of the credit/debit card to use it. All credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorization by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorize payment to us we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. We will take all reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorized access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the Website.

By submitting an order to us through our website you represent and warrant that the payment details provided on your order are valid and correct and that when your order is accepted and processed by us, payment will be made in full.

If the billing details for your order are the same as your delivery address details, by placing an order on the website you confirm that you are the person referred to in the delivery address details. Otherwise, by placing an order, you confirm that you are the person referred to in the billing details.
